Get Your Golf Game Into Peak Shape With The TaylorMade SIM
Posted by Austin Chen on 03 Feb 2020
TaylorMade Golf made waves in 2019 with their speed injected Twist Face technology. They were determined to increase distance any way possible for 2020. At the end of the day, shape won which led to the design of the TaylorMade SIM drivers. The most critical feature of the SIM driver series is the Inertia Generator and the asymmetric sole design. They work in unison to form the new shape that makes SIM a feat of geometric engineering.
SIM stands for Shape In Motion. In aerodynamic testing during the prototype phase, our TaylorMade discovered that for all the positives of the Inertia Generator, it actually hindered airflow across the bottom of the club during the most critical phase of the downswing – the three feet prior to impact, also known as the speed generation zone. What was the fix? The answer was simply rotating the Inertia Generator to match the direction of airflow at this pivotal moment.
TaylorMade SIM woods, hybrids, and irons will be available on Friday, Febraury 7th! If you are in the DFW area come to the TaylorMade Fitting Experience on Feb. 7th to try out all the new SIM golf clubs. You can sign up here as the fititng event runs from 11 AM to 3PM.

The larger face makes it even more forgiving for golfers thanks to more area to work with at impact.
There is a SIM Max draw model that promotes even more of a draw biased ball flight. It is also the highest launching and highest spinning driver in the family.
The SIM Max draw model has as an 18% larger face than SIM to allow for even greater forgiveness.TaylorMade’s club data revealed that the golfers who most benefit from a draw-biased design also require greater forgiveness characteristics.
