Scotty and his team were keenly aware of the performance advantages that low-torque putters offer—specifically, their resistance to rotation and stability-boosting heavier head weights. However, after consulting their tour staff, it was apparent that these advantages frequently come at the expense of feel and feedback. To combat this weakness, Scottie equips the OC models with his innovative chain-link face milling, a custom shaft engineered for the putters' heavier heads, and a custom Matador grip, ensuring the responsive feel for which Cameron is renowned.
The mid-mallet Fastback features a central cutout and a black aluminum heel-toe inlay. These elements, combined with the aircraft-grade aluminum sole plate, shift weight to the head's perimeter, resulting in measurably increased MOI and stability compared to its predecessor. The inlay also creates a two-tone perpendicular alignment system that helps square the putter to the target, improving aim.
